Government Degree College, Atrauli was established on December 21, 1992, by the Government of Uttar Pradesh. Born out of the aspirations of the people of Atrauli, the college aims for the intellectual upliftment of this educationally backward region. Overcoming various challenges in a short span, the institution is now a premier center for higher education for the new generation.
The college is presently affiliated with Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh State University, Aligarh (formerly Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Agra) and is recognized under Sections 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act, 1956.
