Established in 1992, Veerangana Avanti Bai Government College, Atrauli, was born from a vision to bring quality higher education to rural students. Located in the birthplace of former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, the late Babu Ji Kalyan Singh, our college stands as a beacon of opportunity. We are proud to be affiliated with Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh University, Aligarh, and offer a range of courses including B.A., B.Sc., B.Com., and post-graduate programs in Hindi and Mathematics. With a current family of nearly 800 students, where over 560 are young women, we are deeply committed to empowering the next generation through accessible and affordable learning.
Spread across 19 acres of land, our campus offers a refreshing and spacious environment for study and growth. More than half of this area—nearly 48,000 square meters—is dedicated to greenery, providing clean air and a peaceful atmosphere. Our infrastructure blends essential facilities with modern touches: 21 lecture halls, smart classrooms, well-equipped science labs for Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology, and a computer lab. Students also benefit from a rich library with over 9,800 books, a large sports ground for outdoor games like cricket and kabaddi, indoor facilities for chess and carrom, and campus-wide Wi-Fi with a 100 Mbps internet connection.
Life at our college goes beyond textbooks. We take pride in the holistic development of our students, which is why we actively organize cultural programs, NSS and NCC activities, and sports events. Our students shine on many stages—recently, three of our girls were selected for the Inter-University Kho-Kho competition, and our athletes brought home 17 gold medals from the local MP Sports Festival. With five active MOUs for skill development and teacher exchange, plus a strong focus on social responsibilities like voter awareness and environmental conservation, we are dedicated to shaping confident, capable, and caring citizens for tomorrow.
